ThinkZone officially takes over BK Fund, a VC fund founded by Alumni of Hanoi University of Science and Technology
10/06/2025 In June 2025, ThinkZone announces the completion of our acquisition of a controlling stake in BK Investments JSC, thereby directly taking over the management of BK Fund - Hanoi University of Science and Technology Innovation Startup Investment Fund. With this acquisition, ThinkZone has officially increased the number of funds under our management to 3, including: ThinkZone Fund I, ThinkZone Fund II, and BK Fund.
ABOUT BK FUND
BK Fund was established in January 2021 by the outstanding alumni of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), led by Dr. Pham Dinh Doan – Chairman of Phu Thai Holdings and Chairman of BK Fund.
BK Fund focuses on investing in deep-tech startup companies & projects founded by lecturers, students, and alumni of HUST. At the same time, the Fund actively organizes and supports programs that foster the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among faculty members and students, while strengthening alumni connections at HUST.

ThinkZone currently manages multiple local VC funds with the largest total scale in Vietnam, focusing on technology startups. ThinkZone will directly manage BK Fund’s current investment portfolio of 9 startups, while continuing to seek and invest in promising tech ventures. BK Fund targets three key groups:
1. Tech startups founded by HUST alumni with strong industry experience
2. Breakthrough tech projects by HUST lecturers in the process of commercialization
3. High-potential student startups from HUST
BK Fund’s investors include leading business owners and corporate groups who are HUST alumni, such as Phu Thai Holdings, Austdoor Group, Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask JSC, MISA, and many others. This forms an extensive business ecosystem that can co-invest and support startup growth alongside BK Fund.
