Mr. Bui Thanh Do, CEO of ThinkZone Ventures and BK Fund, was honored to participate and directly contribute opinions at the discussion session.
At the discussion session, Mr. Do focused on sharing the key role of the "Three Houses" cooperation model including the State, schools/research institutes and businesses, in narrowing the gap between research and product commercialization, bringing technology into production practice to create real economic values. This spirit of sharing is completely in sync with Vietnam's strategic orientation when General Secretary and President To Lam proposed upgrading the "Three Houses" model from a domestic scale within one country to a "Three Houses of two countries" model.
This shift will form a cross-border cooperation network between businesses, universities, research institutes and innovation centers, and build a common technology cooperation space between Vietnam and Singapore. This will be a solid foundation to effectively connect the data, knowledge and high-quality human resources of both countries.
For the innovation ecosystem, the participation of venture capital funds is an important catalyst to realize this cross-border association model. As a venture capital fund, ThinkZone and BK Fund are committed to acting as a link to promote capital flow, creating the most favorable conditions for technology businesses and startups to connect and cooperate deeper into the global value chain. This orientation completely adheres to the common development goal when Vietnam and Singapore identify science, technology and innovation as the pillars of a comprehensive strategic partnership. Accompanying innovation projects in strategic fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, biotechnology and green transformation will be the most practical way to bring technology solutions to the regional and international level. This effectively supports promoting startup ecosystem development programs, promoting advanced, smart, sustainable manufacturing and enhancing talent exchange between the two countries.
The essence of the "Tech Connect" spirit at the forum was strongly concretized when General Secretary, President To Lam and senior leaders witnessed the awarding ceremony of 25 memorandums of cooperation (MoU) and cooperation documents between ministries, localities and businesses of the two countries. The documents exchanged covered many key areas such as high technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation, semiconductor industry, energy, medicine, health care, digital finance, trade and services. Typical examples include cooperation agreements to develop AI ecosystems, trade and investment promotion infrastructure in the digital environment operated by AI to expand global business connections, or in-depth cooperation programs connecting training and developing high-quality human resources to serve the digital economy. With these strategic commitments, the companionship of ThinkZone Ventures and BK Fund will contribute to realizing the direction of General Secretary and President To Lam in building specific mechanisms to turn connection activities into substantive cooperation, promoting self-reliance and jointly creating new values for the country's technology industry.
